ROLE DESCRIPTION
Come and join a new team who is coming together with a passion for creating new worlds. We need your help with our first Unreal Engine 5 release. Work with seasoned game and film industry veterans on a 100% virtual team that spans the globe.
We’re looking for a Principal Technical Designer to help experiment with gameplay ideas and create production-ready tools and systems.
You’ll collaborate with the project Design Director and Lead Engineer to help build a new kind of social playground for everyone.
Required qualifications
- You’re credited on at least one Unreal Engine 4 title in a Senior role
- You’re a Blueprint master - focus on creating reusable components a plus
- Prior work that demonstrates
- Effective fast prototyping skills
- Deceptively simple implementations of design concepts
- Easy-to-maintain tools and systems
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication
Preferred qualifications
- Repertoire of approaches that facilitate rapid design ideation
- Experience with procedural content creation tools
- C++ proficiency
Nice to have qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience
- AAA pedigree
- Experience in a startup game studio, familiarity with ambiguity
- Familiarity with social engagement systems outside the game design space.
