Be a force multiplier with your legendary creativity and cunning eye for detail. Do you geek out on technical pipelines, material authoring, and texturing workflows? This job is about working with our internal 3D Character development team to create extremely polished and high-quality materials for the Diablo franchise. We're looking for an extraordinarily hard-working person to come spend some quality time in Sanctuary and descend into the deep dark dungeons of Diablo with us! As a master of your craft, you’ll own and drive the most creatively challenging and complex materials. Your experience in material creation will push our quality bar even higher and set the standards for all our epic content.

Your responsibilities will range from creating materials in a collaborative environment to working in complex 2D and 3D pipelines for the Diablo world to make our Characters look as amazing as possible. You’ll also be helping build an internal library of materials, generators, tools and utilities.

Partnering with Leadership and mentoring other surfacing artists to collaborate and share a vision of creating the next iteration of a game industry defining franchise.

Stuff You Are Familiar With

You may wonder what it will take to be successful in this role. Work through technical art production, material authoring, texturing, rendering, and UV unwrapping workflows. As well as work closely with the character team, technical artists, and the production team to determine material needs and creating textures based on those needs.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Albany, NY or Irvine, CA.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $116,800.00 - $216,000.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
