Principal Software Engineer - Tools and Infrastructure

The Team
Engineering Efficiency Tools and Infrastructure provides tools and services to enable engineers to develop and test software that can be delivered to production quickly and efficiently while maintaining an exceptional level of quality.
Our customers are our coworkers, and you will work with engineers across Roblox to provide the tools and test infrastructure they need. You will work on projects at every stage of the pipeline, improving the CI test experience all the way through to load testing the deployment in production.
As a team, we believe in fast iteration and are biased toward action while keeping the long view. We have numerous exciting projects ahead of us for the years to come, including but not limited to:
- Building entire integrated solutions for Roblox with regards to cross-service validation during CI/CD
- Building an ML driven platform for test recommendation based on risk and coverage
- Developing innovative visualization tools.
- Building test framework libraries and new services.
You will:
- Lead technical decision making and guide the development team.
- Write code in a diverse ecosystem.
- Report into the Engineering Efficiency organization.
You are:
- Someone that has architected, designed and developed a wide-array of tools and infrastructure
- Someone that can thrive in any environment, define problems, and come up with practical solutions.
- An expert in building software integrations and frameworks.
- Someone that has a good grasp of software architecture, technical leadership, and industry best practices
- Someone with 8+ years of experience.
- Holding a bachelor's degree (MS degree preferred) in Computer-Science, mathematics, engineering, or equivalent
