Principal Product Manager, Web / Central Technology

As the Principal Product Manager, you will be part of the Central Technology Team driving change and continuous improvement for Bungie.net. Supporting a team of highly skilled technical program managers, producers, and engineers focused on delivering the right features which support our Bungie.net community. You will be responsible for maximizing the throughput of business value, measured by key features and updates being deployed to Bungie.net that drive substantial business value for Bungie.
You’ll work collaborate with the game team, Publishing team, and our external partners to drive acquisition, retention, and monetization strategies.
You will report to the Director of Product Management, Central Technology and be accountable to the Director of Production, Central Technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the Production Director to set goals and objectives for the Bungie.net team to ensure long-term success
- Define and be responsible for the backlog of key features for Bungie.net
- Provide detailed feedback on design documents with a deep understanding of community building, player experience, and business impacts
- Canvas competitive products and identify opportunities for growth. Influencing key stakeholders to drive initiatives to a successful outcome
- Partner closely with game teams, marketing, analytics, central product management to effectively prioritize key modules
- Define key performance indicators for Bungie.net releases, promoting the team to think holistically about performance
- Leverage analytics and quantitative analysis to inform feature development and product optimization, through close partner collaboration
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Proven track record in product management or business performance in the games industry
- Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills to partner with multiple teams including technology, marketing, game development, and team leadership
- Business acumen with strategic and analytical capabilities, using data to inform strategic and business decisions
- Experience building out and modifying complex financial and economic models
- Strong business acumen with strategic and analytical capabilities, using data to drive strategy and business decisions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with multiple teams including marketing, game development, analytics, and team leadership
- Passion for live service MMOs and a strong understanding of the industry
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Deep familiarity with Destiny and its online player communities is highly desired, as is experience with games as a service and MMOs
- Familiarity with Central Technology in Games
Listed below is this role's base pay range. In other locations that Bungie has approved for remote work, this pay range may be adjusted up to +/- 10% and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly).
This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Additionally, it is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Washington State Pay Range
$176,000 — $202,000 USD
Bungie employees in the U.S. also receive:
- 20 days of accrued time-off in the form of PTO and sabbatical days, depending on the level of the position
- 10 paid Floating Days annually, prorated in the first year of employment based on start date
- 10 paid Bungie-observed holidays annually
- One hour of Paid Sick Time (PST) for every 30 hours worked
