Principal Front-End Software Engineer - Trust & Safety

As a Principal Front-end Software Engineer in Trust & Safety you will be part of the highest priority organization at Roblox that keeps our community a safe and civil place for our 170 million monthly users. Trust & Safety is one of the fastest growing teams and features diverse work in machine learning, data engineering, and traditional high throughput and low latency microservice development to detect issues in real-time from predatory behavior to inappropriate content targeting our user base.

The engineers at Roblox are working on the hardest problems in tech today -- distributed systems, real-time communication, 3D co-experience, massive data processing, social networking, rendering, physics, and more. As a Roblox engineer, you will have ownership and will create improvements across one or more of these domains.
We are looking for a Principal Front-End Software Engineer who will help us keep Roblox the world's largest and safest online playground. Together we will work on problems that have not been solved before. You will report to our Trust & Safety Safety Review Platform Engineering Manager.
You Will:
- Produce the UI components, libraries, and tools that power the Moderation, Support, and other Trust & Safety platforms that impact every Roblox user.
- Produce the strategy for building, and deploying tools to our Moderators and Customer Support teams.
- Collaborate with and mentor other engineering and product teams in building a UI component library.
- Work with other teams on user-facing Trust & Safety systems such as abuse reports and moderation workflows for Roblox developers.
- Build the most impactful projects to keep players safe.
You Have:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience building customer-facing user interfaces and experiences
- Experience with modern JavaScript UI frameworks, such as React
- Experience building complex tools from start to finish using modern frontend frameworks and understanding their impact on downstream backend systems
- Collaborated across teams
You may (or may not):
- Have experience with Lua
- Familiarity with C++
- Experience building successful teams
- Have strong Design abilities
