We are in a unique position at the start of a project to work with the latest technology the industry has to offer. We want to build the next AAA title taking our high-level standards in visuals to the next level. We are looking for an industry veteran that possesses all the skills and passion to make a truly stunning next generation title.

As a Principal Environment Artist, you will be instrumental for establishing the visual benchmark for the rest of the art team. You will be expected to work closely with Production, Leads, and Directors in order to establish or improve pipelines, identifying potential roadblocks and highlighting any tech or support needed for success.

This is an in-studio role, and this is non-negotiable; however, we can offer bespoke relocation packages.

-Help the team establish a strong visual benchmark.

-Mentoring Environment Artists in order to achieve required results

-Ensure assets meet the expected quality bar and fall within budget

-Meeting all project deadlines

-Participating in and contributing to high-level art discussions

-Considers the big picture, and high-level goals of the project


-5+ years professional experience as a 3D Artist for games, ideally with experience in a Senior level role.

-Experience working on AAA game/s through the full development cycle (from concept to ship) as an embedded member of a studio development team strongly preferred.

-Expert understanding of current game art processes, limitations and dependencies

-Mastery of relevant software packages such as 3ds Max or Blender, Photoshop, Substance Designer / Painter and Zbrush

-In depth knowledge of environment production techniques

- Excellent communication and writing skills

-Flexibility and open-mindedness

-Always chasing the highest possible quality

-A portfolio of high-quality art produced

-Self-motivated and team focused


- Heavy focus on environment art

- Proficiency in high and low poly modelling

- Proficiency in texturing, following PBR rules

- Strong technical skills (modelling / baking / UVs / modularity / shaders)

- Strong artistic skills (shapes / colours / proportions / lighting)

- Keen eye for detail and realism


- Experience with procedural content creation

- Traditional painting skills

- Experience with photogrammetry

- Outsourcing experience
