ROLE DESCRIPTION
Come and join a new team who is coming together with a passion for creating new worlds. We need your help with our first Unreal Engine 5 release. Work with seasoned game and film industry veterans on a 100% virtual team that spans the globe.
We’re looking for a Principal Environment Artist , versatile in creating fantastic worlds with elements of technology and magic.
You’ll report to the Art Director and will set a very high visual bar in-engine and at-performance, communicating with a small virtual team, and contributing to the signature elements of a new universe.
Required qualifications
- You’re credited on at least one Unreal Engine 4 title in a Senior role
- Portfolio demonstrates
- Strong lighting and composition
- Hero assets - organic and hard surface
- A refined sense of the use of detail
- Awe-inspiring vistas and skybox work
- Experience optimizing for performance on consoles at 60 fps
- A strong desire to make a big visual impact
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with material- and particle-effects
- Experience with simple animation
- Experience with procedural content creation tools (Houdini, Substance)
Nice to have qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience
- AAA pedigree
- Experience in a startup game studio, familiarity with ambiguity
