Principal Software Engineer

As a Principal Engineer, you will work in a passionate team focused on taking our flagship asset exchange "Immutable X" to as many players and gamers as possible. Partnering with the Director of Engineering you will work across one group as the senior most technical person. You will set the vision and principles that guide a sustainable and durable engineering team - coaching and upskilling from a technical perspective, whilst maintaining a deep connection to our product and customer.

You will play an integral part in the Immutable X product, but you will also be involved in product design and development - as the the driving force behind our technical roadmap. You'll have the opportunity to:

• Drive the creation, definition and alignment of technical design decisions & architectural evolution
• Help shape and execute a plan to evolve our tech stack to a modern, distributed systems architecture
• Propose new initiatives and technologies to improve the scalability, maintainability, and reliability of Immutable X systems
• Be a multiplier of engineering capability
• Own the planning, implementation, and release of high-value features and projects
• Create documentation for new and existing environments, practices and processes
• Improve upon existing features of the game from a user experience, performance and stability perspectivesContribute to building the Immutable X mobile version.

We would love you to have:

• 5 + years of deep engineering experience as a frontend or backend Developer
• A passion for upskilling and driving engineering capabilities
• The ability to work comfortably across a range of technologies and are flexible to adapt to the shifting demands of the role
• Previously worked in a scale/start up environment with high-load Restful APIs and event-driven architectures
• Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices such as Clean Code / SOLID principles
• Have a developing or good understanding of the Web3 space
• The motivation to deliver a fantastic product to our users
• Effective communication skills to enable you to work closely with your team and a high degree of synchronisation about goals and strategy

Some extra skills that would be awesome:

• Typescript or Golang programming languages
• Any statically typed languages such as Java, .Net, C++, OCaml, Haskell, Scala
• A dynamically typed language such as Python, javascript, Ruby, Clojure

This role will be part of the Immutable X Platform team where you will help build out our Immutable X Platform.
