As a Technical Director (Individual Contributor) on the Infrastructure Foundation Team, you will apply your deep expertise in software architecture and public cloud best practices to accelerate building Roblox’s Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure.
You Are:
- A Leader with experience in supporting mission-critical applications at scale
- A Technology Expert , with a proven record of enabling massive cloud-based systems and driving successful migrations through multiple generations of technology changes
- Experience in building distributed systems at scale of > 10,000 hosts serving > 1M total QPS
- Proficient with the key principles of software architecture, public cloud architecture and best practices and design patterns
- Hands-on deep experience with more than one cloud vender (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Collaborative with excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams and functions
- Organized and analytical with the ability to track numerous separate threads to their appropriate resolution
You Will:
- Make a next generation hybrid cloud infrastructure as a service to support Roblox business
- Own and deliver complex technical problems from planning, to design, to execution and deployment
- Collaborate with stakeholders including finance, networking, security and application engineering to satisfy relevant business requirements
- Mentor team members helping them improve their professional skills and expertise
- Promote industry-leading standards of engineering quality and operational management
