Principal Cybersecurity Engineer

Zynga is currently seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer to focus on today’s evolving cyber security threats. This individual will be a significant contributor to Zynga’s Security focused DevOps team (DevSecOps), responsible for deploying technical solutions to provide a “defense-in-depth” strategy to security as well as consulting with other teams on security related topics. The right candidate for this position will be an experienced security practitioner with a working knowledge of modern DevOps practices including infrastructure as code.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy and maintain centralized security tools.
- Maintain essential skills in modern technology/standards and use automation whenever possible.
- Propose improvements to security system architecture and drive automation efforts.
- Assist with documentation of standard operating procedures for Zynga Cybersecurity solutions.
- Root cause and resolve problems with automated security systems and deployments.
- Lead Proof of Concept projects to evaluate and select new Cybersecurity solutions.
- Help mentor junior security engineers
Desired Skills and Experience:
- B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent
- 5 year of Information Security experience
- Experience with containerization (Docker)
- Experience with cloud services (primarily AWS)
- Eager to master server/application automation and provide excellent infrastructure operations
- Excellent customer service and communication skills when managing and responding to customer tickets
Preferred:
- Experience with any of the following technologies is a plus: Palo Alto Panorama or Prisma, Cisco ISE, Crowdstrike Falcon, Splunk ES, Datadog, Tenable Nessus.
- Professional information security related certifications (such as Security+, GIAC GSEC, CCNA).
- 5+ years of programming experience (Go, Python, etc.)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with automated infrastructure and software deployment (Chef, Packer, Terraform, Ansible)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with multi-platform systems administration (Linux, Mac, Windows)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools (Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
