You’re good at:
- Expert-level experience in being a Character-focused Technical Artist.
- Working hands-on with Character Rigging, Skinning, Kinematics, Topology, Deformations, Physics, and all other Character Technical Workflows
- Communicating and collaborating, as well as driving for results as an individual.
- Asking the right questions of the right people at the right time.
- Understanding what “good” looks like. You can look at an asset and quickly establish and stack rank what the issues are and how to address them.
- Dealing with ambiguity and solving problems, and you happily adjust to the various needs of different game development phases.
- Using Python or C++, as well as other relevant scripting languages.
Extra awesome points for:
- Having relevant experience as a character tech artist in the games industry, working on AAA games on major platforms.
- Knowledge of how to use Machine Learning for DCC Tools.
- Hands-on knowledge of establishing and building asset creation pipelines and tools.
- Playing a lot of video games and watching movies, and for always dissecting them and thinking about how to take them to the next level.
- Also having skills and experience in related fields, like VFX, Animation, Engineering, or Art in general.

- Your Portfolio or Reel – Only digital applications will be accepted such as a website, blog, or online album. Physical media will not be accepted. Demo reels need a shot breakdown explaining what specifically you were responsible for in each segment.
- A Tech Art test might be required
