Compulsion Games is a first-party game studio and a subsidiary of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Studios, located in Montreal, Canada.

~ The Role

With our latest project now in full production, we are looking for an experienced Character Artist, at either a Senior or Principal seniority level, who can work closely with our Concept, Environment, and other Art disciplines to support core implementation processes, nurture more Junior colleagues, help perfect the artistic quality and integrity of our Characters in the game, and ultimately provide an expert level of guidance to help ship our new project.

Specific Role Requirements:

  • Work closely with our team to fully support 3D Modelling, texturing, and character creations.
  • Support the Art team in producing and polishing character models.
  • Realize the artistic vision and deliver the character structures when creating character models.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and assisting in planning 3D scenes and environments, as required.
  • Competence and proficiency with the full range of Character/3D Art skills such as modeling, texturing, lighting, and composition.
  • Familiarity with Maya, Substance Painter, UV Layout, Quixel, Zbrush, and Unreal Engine.

This is a full-time position, with full salary and studio benefits based in our new Downtown location, by Atwater Metro station. Since Covid-19, we have permanently shifted the studio to a hybrid, or full-time remote working setup for employees, provided you are already based in or willing to relocate to Canada.
