We are looking for someone like you to become our all-new Senior Animator and join our passionate and talented Animation team, where we are building on the years of success that Rebellion has enjoyed.
Senior Animator:
The Senior Animator is a new role dedicated to creating high quality, in-game animations. You will plan and manage motion capture shoots as well as being an active mentor for the Animation team. As part of the Animation team, you will play a key role in ensuring the technical and artistic quality of the game.
This role would suit an animator with experience working with mo-cap data and implementing animation sets to engine.
The Rebellion Animation team is responsible for bringing the game characters in our titles to life. The team work between Design and Character Art to ensure that the animation is in line with the creative direction of the project.
Responsibilities
- Create high quality, in-game animations to the highest standard in line with the style and demanded by the project
- Collaborate with Head of Art, Head of Animation, Designers, Programmers and Producers to develop long-term plans and goals for various tools and processes between the teams that will be used to produce high quality animations
- Work with multiple teams to drive the vision for these new production concepts and methods, and support the pipelines and animation workflow
- Author specs for improvements and new features
- Investigate and provide feedback on our tools and pipelines from an animation and game developer perspective
- Motion capture shoot planning
- Provide support and/or mentoring for other members of the team

Requirements
- Expert knowledge of motion capture
- Expert knowledge of 3D Software such as Max or Maya
- Easily able to animate realistic human motion
- Expert knowledge of rigging and skinning
- Understanding of visual story telling
- Expert knowledge of the video game development process
- Able to effectively communicate information and be persuasive. Building long-term, trusting relationships with a wide range of people within multiple teams
- Able to develop resolutions to unusually challenging problems and mentor individuals and teams to solve problems creatively
