ROLE OVERVIEW:

You will be working as part of the wider Business Intelligence team, reporting to the Pricing Manager. GMG is a data driven business, therefore this makes the BI team one of the core functions in the company. Working in this team will give you plenty of opportunity to hone your analytical skills and work with large data sets on a constant basis. The Pricing Administrator plays a key role for the business, as they make sure that all the prices, discounts and last minute promotions are uploaded to our system and shown to GMG customers correctly.

This role will be involved in many cross-functional projects and discussions, having and giving inputs into wider business plans. Other departments that you will have regular interactions with include Marketing, Commercial, Trading and Engineering, therefore it provides a great opportunity to learn and master multiple stakeholder relationships, plus end-to-end project management.

Requirements

KEY DELIVERABLES:

• Monitor and update the commercial price lists daily
• Work with the trading team to plan promotional campaigns
• Identify opportunities to optimize sales and profitability through pricing strategies
• Maintaining and updating the pricing processes to keep product prices up to date
• Scheduling prices in our systems for promotions and ad hoc requests
• Setting up, running and reviewing exception reports to ensure the quality and accuracy of our pricing catalogue
• Keeping the pricing activity changes well documented

• Advanced Excel skills and IT literate
• Strong attention to detail
• Proactive and eager to learn
• Well organised and self-motivated
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Work well autonomously and as part of a team
• Demonstrable high end analytical and numerical skills
• SQL knowledge is a benefit
• An avid gamer also is a benefit

EXPERIENCE:

• Previous work experience in a Pricing role - 1+ years
• BSc or MSc degree
