Platform Operations Manager

Carry1st is Africa’s leading publisher of mobile games and digital content. Operating at the intersection of games, fintech, and web3, we scale awesome content in underserved frontier markets. Carry1st has a proprietary payments and e-commerce platform which allows players to acquire global content using locally-accessible payment methods. As a Platform Operations Manager you’ll work across all of our proprietary platforms and be responsible for optimising the functioning of Carry1st’s payments and ecommerce services to help drive sustainable growth.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support, using analytics to assess product performance; support on new integrations; and make tactical changes to product configurations to achieve our goals.

You will...

• Aggregate technical product requirements for integrations with third-party APIs and SDKs
• Work with service partners to ensure we can go live with new integrations in a timely manner
• Conduct live user acceptance testing on new features to ensure they’re working as designed
• Configure payment and product settings in our custom admin panel for optimal performance
• Conduct monitoring of our live platform and report on key daily / weekly metrics
• Work with Customer Support and Product teams to reduce consumer friction in our shop
• Support B2B customers as they integrate with and leverage our platform to grow their revenues

Requirements

What makes you a great candidate?

• +5 years in a product management or product operations role for an API-based payments, gaming, ecommerce, and/or VAS business
• Strong analytical / problem-solving skills across technical platforms and large datasets
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with a range of people
• Ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced growth environment
• Experience working in frontier markets with a preference for countries in Africa
• Bonus: love of games (of any kind) and real empathy for gamers
