Build & Release
Joining Build & Release, a division of Ubisoft Düsseldorf, you will be supporting game productions and tech teams in all their needs with build systems, version control and automation for their projects. This means working inside the pipelines and behind the scene of the systems. Our goal is to enable the projects to do their work as efficient as possible.
As our new Configuration Specialist (f/m/d) at Ubisoft Düsseldorf, you will work with game developers in all roles to make sure the process of making games is as smooth and pleasurable as possible. As a Configuration Specialist (f/m/d) in specific, your focus is on creating and maintaining the backend configuration of our games. That includes, but is not limited to, configuration of digital distribution, statistics, tracking and sanctioning services, and other game related metadata. You are also responsible for the required configuration for first party partners like gaming consoles.
What you will do:
- Master the configuration environments of Ubisoft Connect and the first party backends (gaming consoles and streaming services) to help our games shine
- Identify problems and recurring pain points and suggest or implement workflows and permanent fixes in close collaboration with build engineers and game teams
- Collate and communicate backend needs to members of the game teams and other organization (like global IT) to guarantee a timely and accurate setup
Qualifications
What you bring:
- Experience with databases and backend configurations
- Basic knowledge of technical requirement checklists
- Being meticulous, with a completeness and correctness mindset
- Proactive behavior and being a team player
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good English language skills
Preferred additional experience
- At least 2 years of industry experience, a shipped title is a plus
- Bachelor or Master degree in computer science or any other relevant discipline is a plus
- Experience with bug tracking systems (Jira) is a plus
