7 pm-7 am Rotating Schedule
3 on, 3 off, 4 on, 4 off night rotation
Position Summary: This position is responsible for the production of all press ready plates. All employees will be trained to perform all department functions.
Job Functions:
- Production of all press ready plates, accurate to the run card and meets schedule requirements.
- Efficient use of plate room materials.
- Ensure quality of press ready Flexographic plates.
- Prioritize work flow per the schedule to meet production requirements.
- Fill out all necessary paper work and maintain work records through VIEW.
- Strip and clean plate cylinders and sleeves.
- Accurately mount flexographic plates on appropriate cylinder and sleeve.
- Communicate and coordinate with Prepress and Pressroom employees.
- Maintain and service equipment as needed; contact service providers when necessary and notify management.
- Perform proper Housekeeping within the department, staging area and storage rack area.
- Monitor inventory and notify Supervisor and Management when issues arise.
- Notify Press Director, and Press Supervisor of any issues, as necessary.
- Attend Safety Training classes and follow all safety guidelines.
- Perform all PM task that are required per equipment.
- Perform training and development of new personnel.
- Follow all ISO procedures and help in the development and maintaining of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Accurate record keeping including View and Daily Shift Report using Excel spreadsheets.
- Proficient at using computer to plate equipment including plate cutter and camera assisted plate mounters.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by a Supervisor and Management.
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
- Attention to detail.
- Requires high degree of accuracy.
- Must be able to stand for extended period of time.
- Positive work history.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- One or more years in the printing industry recommended, but not required.
- Able to work independently and work well with others.
- Ability to contribute positively to a production team working environment.
- Must display professional behavior at all times.

Education
