Vela Games is Looking for a Talented Pipeline Technical Artist to help build our New Multiplayer Game.

We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of the core foundation of Vela Games; someone who is passionate about being part of an early tight-knit team laser-focused on creating a game from the ground up. This someone’s bread and butter is in tools and pipeline development. They love geeking out over the most optimal way to develop art and game content. They will partner with our engineering, design, and art teams to drive our development process, write tools, and find the most efficient workflows. They will also help move our technology forward evaluating new software and state of the art techniques.

What we will entrust you with:
- Supporting the development of game content with tools, pipelines, and techniques.
- Supporting the vision and long-term planning for company wide Pipeline development.
- Setting up strategies and setting best practices for optimising art and design workflows.
- Developing code libraries and tools for content creation in Unreal Editor.
- Collaborating with Engineers and Technical Artists to further the state of our development tools.
- Bridging communication between Art, Design, Engineering, and Production.
What you bring with you:
- Strong technical and problem solving skills.
- Understanding of modelling, texturing, animation, and design workflows for game development.
- Professional experience maintaining and developing code libraries.
- Understanding of development in one or more of the following DCC applications:
- Maya, Substance Painter/Designer, zBrush, Houdini, 3DsMax
- Professional experience programming in languages such as Python, C++, and C#.
Bonus Points:
- Professional experience writing shaders in HLSL/GLSL.
- Professional experience making content for games.
