Job Purpose
The Publishing team are the owners of the global brand and marketing strategy for the RuneScape franchise. We define the product positioning, developing the landscape for commercial release, enthuse and excite players about the new addition to the Jagex games’ portfolio. Setting KPIs – revenue, players, retention, acquisition, market share, etc. – and achieving them.
As Performance Marketing manager, you will be responsible for the planning & execution of Performance Marketing campaigns for one of our games. You will work closely with many internal teams including Analytics, Data Science & Engineering (ADSE), Game Development, Game Technology, Product Marketing, Creative Services & more. You will be responsible for achieving success against clearly defined KPIs through effective paid marketing activities.
Key Duties
- Build, optimise & scale digital Marketing campaigns to deliver on a rage of key objectives including ROAS, sign ups & returning users
- Utilise a range of channels including paid social, search, display & CPA Networks
- Develop & deliver best in class digital marketing campaigns & forecasts through close collaboration with internal teams including product marketing, analytics, creative & product development
- Implement & review continuous A/B testing of creative/targeting/bidding strategies to maximise performance
- Oversee A/B testing of landing pages, App Stores & other early funnel user experiences
- Work with our dedicated Analysts to review & report on campaign performance
- Highlight key learnings from ongoing experimentation and help to develop best practices for campaigns & creative
- Monitor campaigns to ensure media spend is on track against monthly, quarterly & annual budgets
- Develop & maintain close relationships with key partners including Facebook, Google, Apple, Snapchat & more
- Establish new relationships with upcoming or untested partners
Essential Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in performance focused Digital Marketing having managed significant budgets (7 figures annually minimum)
- Demonstratable success in improving the ROAS & scale of Digital Marketing investments
- Analytical mindset with strong abilities in compiling and analysing performance data
- Knowledge of how to operate & maximise the effectiveness of various Digital Marketing channels in a cross-platform environment
- Experience of data-driven decision making & A/B testing
- Strong proficiency in excel with additional knowledge of SQL preferred
- Experience with improving effectiveness of landing pages/app store pages
- Experience of developing strong relationships with advertising partners leading to tangible benefits
- Expertise in planning & presenting Digital Marketing campaigns
- Experience with web and mobile Analytics & Attribution platforms e.g Google Analytics, AppsFlyer, Adjust etc
- Results-oriented with an attention to detail
- Experience working within the gaming industry
