Performance Marketer

PlayVS is building the infrastructure and official platform for high school esports. We work with game publishers and high school governing bodies to build and operate sanctioned leagues across the country. PlayVS is headquartered in Santa Monica, CA and is rapidly expanding.

As a Performance Marketer, you’ll design campaign strategies that will help PlayVS reach 20K+ high schools in North America. You have a deep understanding of the marketing ecosystem and you’re intimately familiar with the successful tactics used by top startups. If you enjoy uncovering complex business challenges and launching new growth hacks, we’d love to chat with you. You’ll help us:

• Oversee top of funnel strategy to improve conversion rates and hit marketing goals
• Discover new inbound channels and areas of opportunity
• Manage all campaigns, creative, copy, tracking links and reporting
• Craft weekly experiments designed to exceed KPIs
• Improve the ROI of every dollar spent by relentlessly optimizing campaigns
• Coordinate internal teams and agencies to align teams
• Propose budget plans and continually strive to hit accurate numbers with proper allocations
• Drive results based on clearly defined expectations and outcomes

• 5+ years experience in a Demand Gen, Growth or Acquisition Marketing role at an innovative tech startup
• Experience managing vendors, contractors and agencies and expert negotiating skills to get favorable pricing from platforms and tools
• You have a strong record of exceeding growth goals and personal story to share from each of these areas:
• Content marketing
• SEO
• PPC
• Display
• Direct Mail
• Email
• Remarketing
• Affiliate or referral marketing
• Social Media
• Landing page optimization
• Growth hacking
• Co-marketing partnerships
• You have both B2C and ABM experience; a background in multi-sided platforms is a plus
