People and Culture Partner

Rooster Teeth’s People and Culture Partner will serve as a champion for employee experience and as a trusted resource and advisor to all staff in support of fostering a culture of inclusiveness, respect and appreciation. Our company is in need of a cultural transformation as we evolve from a digital, founder led organization to a talent led, culturally relevant media company. We are a creatively driven, content centric company built atop a dynamic production infrastructure spanning live-action, broadcast and animation capabilities.
This role will design and manage programs and initiatives that focus on promoting employee appreciation, employee engagement and well-being. This will require you to think big, use data to guide your work, be comfortable challenging convention, and in some cases reinvent how work is done. The ideal individual for the role is knowledgeable in multiple human resource disciplines including but not limited to: employee relations, company culture, diversity and inclusion, employee lifecycle and engagement, learning and development, recruitment and hiring practices, performance and review assessments, federal/state employment law compliance, and having fun!

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Leadership and HR team to help to drive organizational initiatives such as, employee relations, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion programming, learning and development, organization design & integration, talent management, compensation planning, succession planning, and performance management
- Develop practices, policies, training and related materials to create a culture that embraces equity, diversity, and inclusion at all levels, while highlighting the importance of maintaining a culturally sensitive work environment
- Lead cultural change through programs in collaboration with the business with a strong emphasis on inclusion and performance development
- Work cross-functionally to understand the needs of our employee base and deliver programs that foster an inclusive and diverse culture that engages employees, inspires innovation, and is community-focused
- Provide guidance to and support initiatives of the staff led Culture Crew
- Provide developmental coaching to all levels and offer creative solutions to business needs
- Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues through effective and objective investigation processes, ensuring adherence to appropriate employment laws and policies
- Work to resolve employee and organizational issues in a proactive, thoughtful, and positive manner
- Recommend strategies to senior leadership on engagement tools & practices and will then deploy them in partnership
- Own engagement surveys governance, processes and administration end to end
- Provide analysis & insights from the engagement survey results that leads to identifying and solving existing issues
- Identify actions and lead implementation on company wide areas of improvement based on survey results and additional sources of feedback from the workforce
- Oversee the employee on-boarding process from the creation of materials, to implementation and continued updates
- Provide the organization with support and training on developing better understanding of desired engagement practices, tools to continuously improve managerial practices and work environment
- Consult with business and people leaders to understand and support business, talent and org needs
- Interpret and help to implement HR, recruiting, and hiring policies, practices and procedures for managers, teams and individual employees that further the mission, values and strategic vision of the business
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years relevant HR experience including employee relations, employee engagement & inclusion programming
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in engagement and/or culture
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Experience designing and overseeing initiatives to promote employee-led initiatives that advance inclusion, equity, and cultural transformation
- Strong business acumen, facilitation, conflict resolution and communication skills Impeccable interpersonal, employee-relations, and communication skills; you have a people first mentality and the ability to earn trust and credibility with employees across all levels of the organization with ease
- Highly empathetic with strong listening and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated professionalism, maturity and discretion in handling all matters
- Strong employee-relations skill set; can earn trust and credibility with employees
- Experience working in a complex, high-speed, matrix environment
- World-class project and process implementation and management skills, demonstrated track record of delivering results
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting, while managing competing priorities
- Demonstrated experience with leading and implementing engagement surveys on a company-wide scale
- Prior media/television industry experience preferred
- Experience managing a creative, content-driven organization is preferred
