As part of the People Operations team at Wushu you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies across a wide range of People related topics. You will support the team by creating coaching and development opportunities whilst maintaining compliance and providing advice on all employment matters.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with managers and the People Operations team to help deliver an exceptional annual performance review experience for our team
- Lead the development and delivery of a number of training initiatives for people managers and for the wider team such as delivering workshops in preparation for the annual performance review
- Partner with and support managers on people related topics by providing expert advice, informal coaching and guidance for performance matters
- Work closely with the Head of People on the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda in the organisation, by creating strategies and implementing them
- Provide advice on and manage a wide range of employee relations matters across different levels
- Draw on extensive experience to offer advice and guidance and play a central role in the day-to-day management of the People Operations team
- Provide guidance and recommendations to senior leadership on people practices such as restructures and succession planning
- Partner with Wushu’s finance team and our external payroll provider to ensure the smooth and accurate pay cycle every month
- Ensure company compliance with regards to GDPR, IR35, Immigration and other relevant legal requirements
- Support the Head of People with creating regular reports and data insights
- Create People policies from scratch and ensure regular review of those
Requirements
- Strong all-around knowledge of compliance matters (GDPR, IR35, Immigration, etc)
- Degree qualified in HR, or CIPD equivalent, alternatively substantial work experience as HR Generalist or above
- Extensive experience in employment relations matters at all levels – able to manage own case load
- Previous leadership experience is essential
- Working knowledge of employment laws and legislations
- Advanced analytical and reporting skills
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Commercially astute – ideally with experience in a Gaming studio
- Some experience in line manager training and development
- Experience in creating and implementing People business strategies and models from scratch
- Strong IT knowledge across MS Office (particularly Outlook, Word and Excel), and capacity to swiftly pick up bespoke IT systems and tools
