The opportunity

In this role you will be a multiplier to the work of our COEs (Centers of Excellence) by supporting our HR Programs and ensuring we have the right HR tools and culture in place to make working at Unity an excellent experience for all employees. You will lead a team of subject matter experts for local employment law and the custom practice for the HR processes in the region you support.
Reporting into the Sr Director, HR, you will join a global virtual, engaging and friendly team of experienced HR professionals based in offices across the globe. Given the virtual nature of the team the role allows for you to empower teams to work autonomously, and collaboratively as a team. Building and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues who are based in other locations and time zones to yourself will be key. There will be occasional business travel and some flexibility needed as collaborating with teams in different time zones requires off regular hour meetings every now and then
What you’ll be doing
- Establish and manage ongoing strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Territory Leadership Team and Functional Leaders (Sales, Operations, Facilities, Community, etc), People and other teams at local and global level
- Provide effective, thoughtful coaching & feedback to build management and leadership capabilities in our Managers and Employees (compensation, performance management, career development)
- Link strategic objectives in region with HR related programs, processes, and projects in territory/region and globally. Contribute to and deliver on business-critical People initiatives and projects (Talent Reviews, Compensation reviews, Development etc).
- Enforce consistency with our company policies and procedures and participate in policy reviews, influencing where appropriate to improve employee experience and keep local relevancy and compliance
- Manage and foster growth for a distributed team of People Partners
What we’re looking for
- Experience with managing a team of HR professionals.
- Expert in AMER / EMEA with the ability to make procedural decisions and exercise judgment with sensitive/confidential issues.
- Proven experience in an HR role working directly with managers and internal partners on legal compliance, employee engagement and critical initiatives.
- Experience with coaching, conflict resolution and strong relationship and teambuilding skills, with demonstrated ability to influence others.
