What We Need:
We are looking for a person to design, develop, coordinate, and facilitate the execution of specified projects and initiatives for the People Operations department. Provide specialized advice, facilitation, and support to management and employees in development and implementation of effective systems, procedures, programs, and/or practices. Also to maintain data integrity, manage access to data, provide reporting and ensure proper governance.
What You Will Do:
- Designs and develops people operations processes focused on continuous improvement, efficiency, and data integrity
- Initiates, collaborates, iterates, and communicates cross functionally on new and revised people operations processes, with a deep focus on HRIS optimization and integration with other HR tools
- Help define best practices for data governance across our People systems
- Maintains data integrity by ensuring the accuracy and consistency of input data; audit data and troubleshoot irregularities
- Maintains comprehensive headcount records including annual pre-load data validation and upload into HRIS
- Facilitates all headcount related tracking and approvals, serving as main point of contact for hiring managers, executive leadership, and Talent Acquisition employees across the Global Publishing organization
- Provides auditing of headcount records to ensure continuous data integrity
- Acts as HRIS super user, partners with corporate HRIS team on reporting and data management projects, systems processes, improvements, trainings, and documentation
- Produces cadenced and ad hoc HRIS reporting including monthly and quarterly reports as well as custom dashboards and metrics.
- Use graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data
- Manages onboarding process for new employees, including but not limited to coordination of first day activities, delivery of new hire orientation, assistance with new hires benefits selection and other new hire processes
- Collaborates cross-functionally with key stakeholders Talent Acquisition, Finance, and Operations to create a seamless onboarding experience for new hires
- Builds and maintains documentation of internal processes
- Coordinates inter-company employee transfers and relocations; monitors processes and employee experience and recommends improvements
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
- Performs other duties as assigned, including special projects
- Organizes and maintains HR employee files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 4+ years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years prior work experience in an HR organization and strong HR skills
- Minimum 2 years’ of Workday experience
- Ideal candidates will have prior experience and understanding of California human resources principles and practices, including but not limited to wage and hour, employment law, safety, and EEO compliance
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Skill in the analysis and re-engineering of systems, processes, and procedures.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priority
- Skill in developing policy and procedure documentation
- Customer-focused, organized, thorough and meticulous
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities and workflow, completing projects on or ahead of schedule
- Very strong skills on Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals and cultures at all organizational levels
