Role Overview
Linden Lab is looking for a hands-on, resourceful, self-motivated People Operations professional to join our People Team!

**This role reports to the Director, People & Culture as a hands-on individual contributor. This is a hybrid position that includes remote and in-office work.

What We’ll Create Together
The People Operations Manager / Senior Manager will manage and create best practices for operational assets with people and payroll teams. Work to improve processes and policies in coordination with internal and external partners. Provide customer service and education for employees and management to improve the overall experience with the People Team.
Responsibilities
- Drive U.S. and global payroll and benefits administration, including compliance reporting
- Ensure high level, timely customer service and issues resolution to enhance the employee experience
- Architect platforms to ensure compliance while streamlining processes
- Proactive managing up to stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Liaise with collaborators and auditors to project manage audits and special projects, including payroll, 401(k) and workers compensation
- Administer Leave and Workers Compensation programs
- Document SOPs to ensure consistency, repeatability, and scalability of internal People processes
- Responsible for current knowledge and interpretation of local, state, and federal employment compliance laws and regulations, including wage and hour laws and practices
- Work with team members and management to develop and implement company policies and educational content
What You’ll Bring to the Team

- 5+ years of proven experience and in-depth, practical knowledge in People Operations in a start-up or growth-stage company.
- 5+ years of hands-on benefits and global payroll experience including deep knowledge of payroll law.
- Demonstrated ability to research complex problems, apply inclusive practices, and develop equitable solutions that center the needs of both employees and the organization.
- Self-motivation with the ability to demonstrate initiative and a sense of urgency while quickly learning new procedures and processes.
- Strong business communication skills, including professional, service-focused writing and visual presentation skills, including organizing information in spreadsheets to create compelling business cases.
- Hands-on experience architecting HRIS platforms, including implementation, management, and migration (preferably Paylocity), including strong understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes.
- Exemplary tactical execution, strong organizational skills, and the high attention to detail that will earn increased levels of autonomy quickly.
- Innate sense of responsibility and accountability that ensures the job gets done despite challenges that come your way.
- Demonstrated compliance and risk management background with a finger on the pulse of what’s happening now and preparing for what’s next in People Operations
- Commitment to operating with transparency and proactively keeping all stakeholders in the loop.
- Experience working with sensitive documents and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Pay Transparency Notice
The Company’s Total Rewards philosophy is to ensure fair, unbiased compensation and equitable pay along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate. Depending on your U.S. work location, the starting annual salary for this position can have a varied range + RSU equity incentive plan + generous benefits program, including comprehensive medical, dental, vision and 401(k). Actua l base pay within this range is dependent on many factors, including experience, competencies, skills, internal equity and calibration to market data. Our compensation philosophy includes a location-based strategy, which means that the starting salary within this range will be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position is filled. Your talent partner will share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
Salary Range
$125,000 — $160,000 USD
