What We Need
Designs, develops, coordinates, and facilitates the execution of specified projects and initiatives for the People Operations department. Manages benefits, leaves of absence, requests for reasonable accommodation, headcount reconciliations and general administrative support. Provides niche advice, facilitation, and support to management and employees in development and implementation of effective systems, procedures, programs, and/or practices
What You Will Do
- Designs and develops HR operational processes focused on continuous improvement, efficiency, and data integrity
- Collaborates, iterates, and communicates cross functionally on new and revised HR operations processes, with a deep focus on HRIS optimization and integration with other HR tools
- Organizes and coordinates 2K wide implementations of new and updated HR processes
- Builds and maintains documentation of internal processes
- Maintains comprehensive headcount records including annual pre-load data validation and upload into HRIS
- Facilitates all headcount related tracking and approvals, serving as main point of contact for hiring managers, executive leadership, and Talent Acquisition employees across the Global Publishing organization
- Provides auditing of headcount records to ensure continuous data integrity
- Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data
- Use graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data
- Work closely with Corporate HR (Benefits, Training, Compensation, Compliance) in order to best respond to employees’ queries, issues and concerns
- Research and respond to a variety of sophisticated employee benefits-related inquiries; coordinate and promote benefit activities with regards to Open Enrollment, on-site wellness activities and initiatives, and the Fitness Reimbursement Program
- Partner with Employee Programs Automation vendor to vet, introduce and schedule workplace offerings
- Provide leave of absence information to employees as needed and coordinate with Corporate Payroll and Benefits teams to administer leaves
- Collaborates with company studios and departments, both international and domestic, to ensure all paperwork for new hires, terminations, and employee changes is received and approved in a timely fashion
- Assists with employee programs, including but not limited to research, coordination of vendors, and communications about program additions or changes.
Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 4+ years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years prior work experience in an HR organization and strong HR skills required
- Ideal candidates will have prior experience and understanding of California human resources principles and practices, including but not limited to wage and hour, employment law, safety, and EEO compliance Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations relative to labor and employment issues (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Skill in coordinating resources and prioritizing, developing policy and procedure documentation, and analysis and re-engineering of systems, processes, and procedures
- Very strong skills on Microsoft Office Suite including sophisticated Excel skills
