Overview
Arkadium is seeking an experienced Business Partner to join our People Innovation team and be a trusted partner to our employees. You will support the department’s big picture initiatives without compromising on the details. This role requires someone who is solutions oriented, empathetic and passionate about helping others grow in their careers. This role is open to candidates based in Portugal and will be 100% remote with occasional in person events. Portugal business hours are 9am - 6pm WEST.
Responsibilities
- Assist all hiring managers in filling open positions quickly with qualified candidates that exhibit our values
- Facilitate and/or actively participate in the offer process, supporting managers to 'close'
- Maintain updated onboarding content and onboard new hires to maximize immediate on their job impact
- Plan and coordinate internal celebrations and events that make people think, laugh, share and create memories
- Continuously iterate and improve on initiatives/processes such as recognition, onboarding, recruitment to be best in class while matching our values
- Manage benefits and payroll (communicating with vendors and employees, addressing changes and updates, ensuring timely submission)
- Provide strategic coaching to Team Leads in support of the growth and development of their direct reports
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working as a human resources generalist/business partner
- Understanding of Portugal employment laws (interpretation and application)
- Experience working in the tech industry is preferred
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Ability and readiness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a can-do spirit, strong attention to detail, and strategic analytical ability
- Strong project and time management skills
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with a solutions-oriented mindset
