People Business Partner - Hybrid/flexible

For 30 years we’ve been creating incredible video games at our multiple studios, but Rebellion is more than just games. We have our own film and mo-cap studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.
We operate across multiple UK locations, with studios based in Oxford, Warwick, Liverpool and Wakefield. We have an exciting new People Business Partner role within our People and Talent Team. As a People Business Partner you will work closely with the leaders of your dedicated areas, enabling the delivery of our strategy and growth of our business, while enabling employees to flourish. You will act as a trusted advisor on all people matters, providing HR advice, guidance and best practice to your key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage and take accountability for business areas, using your understanding of the organisation strategy, goal, culture and current demographic to provide effective solutions.
- Provide a 360 HR generalist service to designated business areas.
- Coach and partner with line managers proactively, driving their people issues to resolution.
- Ensure Rebellion’s compliance with UK legislation.
- Partner with the Lead People Business Partner and the wider HR Team to develop and implement new HR practices and processes which meet the organisation's needs and help to resolve business issues.
- Be a champion of the Rebellion culture, challenging behaviours which don’t match the company values and expectations.
- Understand workforce requirements, risks and possible blockers, and provide solutions to reach desired business objective.
Requirements
- Confidence leading on HR matters and supporting managers on all aspects of people management.
- Experience working with senior leaders, demonstrable ability to challenge whilst maintaining a strong and constructive relationship.
- Good experience of project management, from initiation to successful implementation.
- Experience of implementing new processes and procedures successfully.
- Advanced knowledge of employment law and ability to deal with employee relations issues at all levels.
- Ability to coach leaders within the business and build relationships quickly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyse data, draw accurate conclusions and communicate key messages succinctly.
- Be willing to undertake further training to fulfil the requirements of the role.
- Be able to travel on company business when required.
