Data Warehouse Intern, People Analytics

The opportunity

Unity is looking for a People Analytics Intern to join the People Analytics team. Our team is responsible for delivering reporting and insights within HR and other global business functions. The work our team produces frequently lands in the hands of Unity executives, board members, and stakeholders across multiple functions. You will play an important role in meeting the needs of these stakeholders by supporting People Analytics initiatives that will have a lasting impact on the people function and globally at Unity. You will be a steward of our people data mission statement which is “to provide valuable partnership & expertise through accurate, data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Be a key contributor to high-impact programs or projects that impact over 4,000 employees’ experience globally. Some examples of work may include developing a people insight dashboard for senior leadership, or help drive an analysis on our highest attrition populations that empower data-informed decision making
• Present findings to key stakeholders to drive for data driven changes
• Collaborate with a globally distributed team and work closely with colleagues across regions and timezones
• Protect and maintain the confidentiality of our people data by exercising discretion at all times
• Be a steward of the People Analytics mission statement and Unity company values

Requirements

• Current student pursuing a degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, Psychology, Business Analytics, or other related program
• You have critical thinking skills and can apply them to complex problems
• Experience with spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Sheets) and visualization tools (Google Data Studio, Tableau, Looker)
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience with modeling languages like R or Python
• Strong communication skills, both in-person and online with the ability to work in a team environment

Bonus Points

• Experience handling highly sensitive, confidential data such as HR data
• Experience manipulating and comprehension of complex transactional data, being able to understand data captured at each period of measurement
