Payroll Specialist

In this role you will be responsible for timely and accurate delivery of payroll calculations for designated Service Line(s) in compliance with local laws. You will ensure all mandatory deductions are calculated and forms submitted to ZUS, Tax office, PFRON or GUS within required deadlines. You will ensure payroll system is updated on time and in an accurate manner to ensure correct payroll calculations. You will also respond to any payroll related queries submitted by employees, finding solutions to complex payroll issues.Responsibilities:- Ensuring timely, accurate and compliant payroll end to end process delivery including performing gross to net calculations, executing post payroll run related duties, payroll accounting, payments and payroll reporting.
- Managing inputs to payroll via data uploads, interfaces and manual data entry, performing predefined checks and resolve possible issues, ensuring 4-eye checks and other payroll data controls
- Providing regular and ad-hoc reports related to Payroll processes; internal, external, statutory reporting and filing to authorities (ZUS, PEFRON, tax, PPK) and compliance reporting;
- Case management of simple and complex payroll queries applying FIFO mindset in Jira and handling sensitive information
- Actively building and managing good partnership with stakeholders
- Providing guidance and support to less experienced team members
- Supporting Payroll Lead in initiating process improvements
- Performing tasks in compliance with company policies relating to payroll to ensure requirements are followed consistently and in full for each payroll cycle
- Performing basic tasks in compliance with employment legislation, data protection and control risk within payroll function
Requirements
- Min 2 years of experience in calculating payroll
- Robust knowledge of how payroll systems work
- Demonstrated highest standards (accuracy, timeliness to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations)
- Ability to collaboratively work within a team to deliver clear results
- Solid verbal and written communication skills required including business writing skills in English while interacting with employees and business partners on simple and complex payroll related queries are essential
- Demonstrated interest and ambition to grow in the payroll profession
- Ability to articulate and communicate with clients in a concise and professional manner
- Ability to propose solution to problems
- Ability to identify process issues and improvement opportunities
