Software Engineer (Partners), Defence

Partner Engineers at Improbable are Software Engineers with deep knowledge of core concepts of our faster-than-realtime simulation products, and help our industry partners to build specific products. You will help to design, deploy, and support solutions that are performant, scalable, and highly available wherever the user requires. Our customers have a choice, and we want to enable that on the Improbable platform.
Your work is amongst the most high-profile and important work that Improbable Defence does. You will work directly with some of the most senior-decision makers across government and the software you build plays an important role in dramatically increasing the capabilities for planning and meeting the threats of the modern world.
Areas for Impact
- You will be responsible for enabling and supporting the successful delivery of outsourced requirements across partners and internal stakeholders.
- You will ensure technical requirements are properly defined; That dependencies and risks identified and addressed.
- That development workflows and collaboration processes are supportive.
- And enable the development of tools and services for successful partner integration.
- You will ensure that third party content is integrated into our customer projects, and works seamlessly for our users.
- Partner engineers work closely with partners to enable true customer choice, keeping the user requirements at the forefront of everything we do.
We'd like to hear from you if you identify with the following
- Collaborative communication skills, ideally with experience working integrating software solutions with partners / customers
- Experience with at least one of: C++, Python, or GoLang
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, cloud technologies and deployment highly preferred
- Ability to provide technical support to partners as required, including problem solving, testing support, technical designs and documentation
- The ability to work in a rapid development environment for ad hoc tooling development
- Ability to track external technical development work, understand the solution and how it fits with our own deliverables and requirements
- Please note due to the nature of this role you will be expected to meet requirements associated with obtaining UK security vetting clearance
