Paralegal (12 Month FTC)

Overview:

This role requires a paralegal to support the EMEA legal team, which consists of 7 lawyers over various locations.

Responsibilities:

Contract Management – Including (i) proof reading of final and amended documents, obtaining signatures, filing and recording of agreements; and (ii) drafting and managing, with supervision from a lawyer, standard agreements including non-disclosure agreements, services agreements, distribution and/or licensing agreements etc.

Corporate / Company Secretarial Matters – Acting as the first port of call in respect of all company secretarial matters in relation to the group’s legal entities in International.

Transaction Logs & Reporting – Maintenance of the Legal Transaction Log; Preparing, reviewing and ensuring all approvals are obtained on all regular logs and reports required.

Outside Counsel Billing – Ensuring that invoices are being uploaded or provided by outside legal counsel for accrual and approval on a monthly basis. Liaising with the NY team members and Finance to ensure that all legal spend is being tracked in the system, and approved and paid in a timely fashion. Assisting Legal Team members to generate legal spend reports where applicable.

Legal Research & Knowledge Management – Assisting members of the Legal Team in (i) conducting legal research required on various areas of the law applicable to the business; (ii) keeping track of any changes to the same and update the relevant team members accordingly; (iii) document management in larger ad hoc projects; (iv) establishing and maintaining a document precedent bank and legal database applicable to the EMEA business and territories.

Administrative Matters – Assisting members of the Legal Team with various administrative matters including filing, travel arrangements and expenses.
