Paladins - Lead Animator

Hi-Rez Studios is hiring a Lead Animator to work at our studio headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia on Paladins!

What our Lead Animators do at Hi-Rez Studios:

• Leads a team in the creation and implementation of 3D animation for Paladins.
• Guide your team to achieve our milestones on time and at quality, communicate risks effectively.
• Understands how to deliver quality animations and guide the visual and technical quality for the animation team.
• Mentor, manage and regularly review individuals to build a cohesive and effective team.
• Create new processes, evaluate existing processes, and evolve process to support the team.
• Work with production, design, engineers and other art discipline leads to determine tasks, direction, and timelines.

What we are Looking for:

• 7+ years of experience with 1 or more years of team lead experience.
• Demonstrates strong understanding of animation principles and production art pipeline.
• Works collaboratively and communicates with multiple teams.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Is self motivated, has a strong work ethic, and communication skills.
• Is open to direction and feedback, embraces change.
• Technically minded, understanding and experience with the game animation pipeline.
• Ability to mentor younger artists, and set a visual tone with their work.
• Knowledge of 3DS Max, Maya and similar software packages.
• Unreal Engine 4 or other game engine experience.
