PR & Marketing Assistant

Rebellion Publishing is seeking a PR & Marketing Assistant to support the PR & Marketing team across the fiction, comic and graphic novel lists.
This role is a Full Time Contract for 12 months. The ideal applicant will show a passion for books and comics, possess strong organisational skills as well as a good eye for detail, and an ability to work to strict deadlines. You'll also need good writing skills, whether that’s creative copy for marketing, blog and social media posts, or emails to external partners. We're looking for a quick learner who can demonstrate creativity and diligence in their approach to marketing and PR, and someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced team across a variety of different products. You should be a confident PC user and ideally have some previous office administration experience. A good knowledge and familiarity with social media platforms is essential for this role. Knowledge of photoshop and InDesign is a bonus.
You must be able to legally work in the UK.
In this role you will:
- Assist with various marketing tasks across Rebellion Publishing and 2000 AD, including:
- Work closely and in coordination with the Fiction PR & Marketing Manager, PR coordinator, and Roy of the Rovers Brand Manager to plan promotional campaigns for forthcoming books
- Updating brand websites and brand web shops
- Writing and proofing various marketing texts
- Updating Consonance
- Drafting blog posts and press releases
- Creating and sending marketing emails
- Sending out review copies of upcoming titles
- Implement and promote planned product sales across the Publishing websites including paid social media advertising (PPC)
- Assist with the running of the Rebellion Publishing and 2000 AD social media accounts across multiple platforms, including:
- Assisting with the day-to-day running of various accounts
- Planning and executing small scale campaigns
- Assisting with launching larger campaigns
- Helping answer customer queries
- Assisting with the execution of PR campaigns
- General team admin support
Requirements
- Knowledge and familiarity with social media platforms is essential
- Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail
- Good writing skills, whether that’s creative copy for marketing, blog and social media posts, or emails to external partners.
- A passion for books and comics
- Confidence in PC use and preferably previous office administration experience
- Knowledge of photoshop and InDesign is adavantageous
