Outsourcing Manager

HB Studios is a driving force in the creation of sports video games and the studio behind PGA TOUR 2K Golf – presently working on PS4, PS5, XboxOne, Xbox Series X/S and PC. We have an opportunity for an Outsourcing Manager to join our team of developers, creators, and fans, who are passionate about the art and process involved in video game development.

As an Outsourcing Manager, you will own the outsourced production of AAA assets while ensuring the highest quality deliverables - on time and within budget.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with Art Lead to align Production with Outsourcing commitments
• Manage the production cycle of high-quality outsourced assets within schedule and budget
• Develop and maintain key relationships with external vendors as their primary contact
• Facilitate good collaboration and feedback between production teams and outsource partners
• Track and communicate progress to maintain outsourcing and production targets
• Identify and resolves issues that impact both the project and outsource pipeline
• Integrate assets within the game engine to ensure completed assets are in build ready format
• Develop processes for review, feedback, and approval of delivered assets
• Follow and improve processes related to the development of outsourced assets
• Ensure clean and consistent documentation of art production pipeline
• Manage and archive delivered assets within the studio storage system
• Develop and maintain good relationships with all team members
• Participate and engage in team and department meetings

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Diploma or undergraduate level education or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an outsource management role
• Knowledge of 3D content authoring techniques
• Knowledge of Maya/3DMax, Photoshop, Zbrush, Substance Painter/Designer, and Unity
• Proficient with project management software
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to respond and meet project deadlines and milestones
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, creative, and outside-the-box thinker

• Sports knowledge and enthusiasm
• Game development tools knowledge and work experience (Jira, Confluence, Shotgun etc.)
