Outsource Manager (Unannounced Project)

We are PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, the global battle royale phenomenon! Since the release of our flagship title in 2017 we have become one of the highest selling video games of all time with over 70 million copies sold – that’s a lot of Chicken Dinners!
We are headquartered in Seoul, South Korea and sit within the KRAFTON, Inc. corporation. From our Amsterdam office, we cover Europe, Middle East & Africa, and the CIS region, and have teams dedicated to Product Management, Esports, Content, Communications, Creative, Merchandise, HR and more. We are also creating a new game here, with a growing development team working on a brand-new IP.
As an Outsource Manager you will be responsible for resourcing, planning, and managing the external development of our new AAA game. The main area of focus will be to manage externally produced art, however support in other outsourced areas could be requested.
Basic responsibilities:
- Maintain communication with external studios or individuals
- Coordinate with production, department leads and art direction to identify needs for external production
- Work together with global business development at KRAFTON to establish and maintain relations with external studios or individuals
- Establish and refine a pipeline for working with external teams, fitting to the internal pipelines
- Set up plans, budgets and agreements for outsourced work for a short term, as well as long term
- Track the progress of external work, and communicate any risks with the internal teams
What we’re ideally looking for:
- Several years in a similar position, within the games industry (AAA experience preferential)
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic artistic and technical understanding of game development
- Experience with the full game development cycle
- Experience working with Office 365 and project tracking software
- Experience working on shooter games or open world games is a plus
