Ubisoft Toronto is one of the largest development studios within Ubisoft, employing talented developers from around the world. We create worlds and tell stories that grip you, inspire you and challenge you. Since opening in 2010, we have shipped innovative game projects on some of Ubisoft’s biggest brands: Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs, For Honor and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell.
Most recently, we launched Far Cry 6, the most ambitious Far Cry game to date, featuring the talented Giancarlo Esposito as Anton Castillo. Our studio has also led the development of the newest game in the Watch Dogs franchise – Watch Dogs: Legion (2020), a stand out for its tech and design work, play as anyone gameplay in an open world, and rich and detailed rendition of a future London. Starlink: Battle for Atlas (2018) was Ubisoft Toronto’s first new IP, using technology that seamlessly blended physical and digital gameplay. On being a Transformation Project Manager at Ubisoft Toronto
As a transformation project manager within the International Production team, you’ll coordinate and drive meaningful transformation projects and initiatives – ranging from talent management to operational excellence, production governance, technological convergence, and beyond.
Reporting to our Transformation Project Director, you’ll support video game production teams worldwide in introducing any changes to the production organization as efficiently as can be.
Location: This position is based out of Montreal, Toronto, or Québec City
Type of Position: Permanent, full-time.
The daily life of a Transformation Project Manager at Ubisoft Toronto
In a multi-cultural, distributed environment, you’ll:
- Contribute to designing, developing, and implementing production “to-be” models aligned with our strategic orientations;
- Follow the transformation framework and provide feedback to improve it + guide and support project leaders across the organization;
- Coordinate program projects with sponsors;
- Oversee, support, and monitor multiple projects in parallel to ensure they’re progressing;
- Engage people around transformation projects through effective communication, trusting relationships, and a positive mindset;
- Carry out change impact analyses + propose actions that fit the Ubisoft culture and context;
- Proactively raise issues to stakeholders (like project leaders, sponsors, and the transformation leadership team) + guide them in implementing methods to prevent issues from becoming blockers;
- Support general management information needs: preparing presentations and developing agendas, inputs, outputs, and reports for transformation meetings, etc;
- Occasionally travel to visit other Ubisoft studios when need be.
What it takes to make it
- Significant experience in project management, consulting, or change management (Project Management accreditations like PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or SAFe, a plus);
- The capacity to work with diverse teams in multiple locations, engaging their input and commitment, and inspiring trust through your words and actions;
- A deep understanding of the obstacles that come with driving change in distributed environments;
- The ability to gather, assess, and prioritize requests from multiple sources + carry out adapted solutions;
- An inclusive and influential leadership style that allows you to rally people together;
- Familiarity with transformation management programs;
- French and English communication skills;
- Experience working with Microsoft Teams and in an Agile environment.
