Ubisoft Production HQ is the headquarter of our network of production studios and plays an essential role in the conception of our games. Job description
The team and your role:
As part of the Open Innovation Accelerator team, the Open Innovation Manager contributes to the live transformation of Ubisoft by building bridges and collaborations between the indie ecosystem and Ubisoft.
Under the supervision of the Senior Open Innovation Manager, the Open Innovation Manager’s role is to identify unique and innovative indie games and dev teams that match Ubisoft editorial strategy, to then build positive relationship and relevant ways of tailored collaborations with these independent developers.
Missions:
- Develop, and execute effective sourcing strategies (events participation, social network, proactive database, etc.) and
- Identify emerging trends in the industry(design, genre, market, production, geographical zone…);
- Build positive relationship with the independent developers by engaging in physical or digital exchanges. Understand their needs and evaluate the relevance of this partnership for Ubisoft ;
- Liaise with internal and external partners to coordinate the review of the projects (;
- Present curated games and desired partnerships to Ubisoft Editorial team ;
- Support the Open Innovation Accelerator team during the shape and following phases of the validated partnerships ;
- Evaluate, improve, and imagine Open Innovation Accelerator processes, systems, tools, and methods.
Qualifications
- You have a previous experience in the video games sector working on different projects (if possible, in Line Design, Producing, User Research, QA/QC, Live games Production,) ;
- You are a curious and eclectic gamer with a passion for PC indie games (mobile is a plus) and you understand well the video game development and market;
- You have proven skills in network building, critical thinking, and verbal/written communications;
- You have organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills;
- You are fluent in English (verbal and written).
Nice to have:
- French is a plus;
- Knowledge of a non-western market (Asia, India, South America, Middle East…).
