Office Manager

Housemarque is looking for an Office Manager

THE JOB

Housemarque is looking for a full-time Office Manager for our headquarters in Helsinki. You will be responsible for everything that is needed to run the office efficiently and support our staff in their daily needs. You will work in close contact with HR, who has been handling office management thus far, IT and production.

Office Manager’s responsibilities include:

• Coordinating our new office construction & interior design project together with the Managing Director
• Co-operation and handling contracts with cleaning & building management
• General office maintenance
• Running daily administration needs related to office supplies, shipping etc
• Workspace setup for new employees and ordering ergonomic aids
• Ensuring a welcoming, inspiring and functional environment for our staff and visitors
• Keeping our kitchens tidy and stocked with refreshments
• Assisting in event-organizing and employee wellbeing efforts
• Keeping inventory & shipping of marketing swag
• Making internal announcements on all office-related matters

We expect you to have:

• At least 3 years of office management experience
• At least one site-building project where you’ve taken active part in
• Excellent written and verbal English skills
• (Finnish is not required for this position, but basic knowledge of Finnish culture and a translator app may help you in searching for e.g. new suppliers)
• An eye and love for tidiness - we’d wish we could say otherwise, but developers are known to be blind to empty boxes and half-drinken soda bottles
• Proactive mentality - we expect you to be able to notice things that need to be done from booking carpet washings to emptying fridges from forgotten glögi-bottles
• Great communication skills, approachability and ability to make circumspect decisions
