PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
We are looking for an experienced Office & HR Manager to build and facilitate an office environment that both meets our business needs as well as provides a comfortable, engaging and safe space that our people will enjoy coming to work in. This is a newly created opportunity, to ensure the smooth running of a studio of 20 people, with anticipation of significant further growth in the near future. Reporting to the Head of Studio & Games Director, the Office & HR Manager will play a critical role, in providing high-quality advice, guidance, support and administration within the studio.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all aspects of general office administration including maintaining and developing administrative systems, ensuring smooth running of the studio
- Be first point of contact for all HR queries
- Actively coordinate the HR administration and recruitment process within the studio, with support from the wider Frontier HR team (based in Cambridge UK)
- Champion team wellbeing initiatives
- Supporting administrative duties across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding
- Ensure all office health & safety requirements are met and monitored, including the appropriate number of first aiders and fire wardens
- File and retrieve company documents, records and reports and ensure all filing up to date and well-managed
- Assisting with internal communications
- Coordinate and plan studio events
- Ensuring effective upkeep of the office including ordering supplies, stationary, kitchen equipment, supplier etc.
- Overseeing all aspects of the office environment making sure our office is presentable, fully stocked, our equipment is working, and everyone has somewhere to work
- Working closely with IT and phone providers to ensure the office is functional and accessible and any issues are resolved quickly and efficiently
- Ensure that office costs are managed in line with budgets
- Expense management and reimbursement.
ABOUT YOU:
- Highly organized, with strong planning skills able to manage a varied and busy workload in a fast-paced environment
- Previous Office & HR management experience
- Detail-oriented
- An excellent communicator
- Enthusiastic and willing to be hands-on
- Have the ability to learn on the job and adapt to changes
- Proficiency in MS Office
