About the Role
Sago Mini is seeking an experienced Office Administrator who is eager and excited to execute finance and administrative functions for our growing organization. You’ll be supporting the build of a robust internal accounting and finance pipeline, working with product managers and teams on expenses and external service purchases, and ensuring compliancy with our parent company’s finance processes and practices. What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and manage accounts payable for Sago Mini; process, verify and code invoices
- Manage and set-up vendors in accounting system
- Support team with creating purchase requisitions, purchase orders and receiving services and goods in PO portal
- Manage resource (staffing) file and ensure proper payroll coding for capitalization
- Review and process staff expense reports; assist with training new staff on how to submit invoices and prepare expense reports
- Train new staff on vendor set-up and ensure proper paperwork is completed
- Work with the other finance members to assist with integrating new businesses, provide recommendations on reporting, or work with business units to help understand these new lines
- Engage in all aspects of month-end and year-end closing processes including preparing and reviewing monthly reports for product managers and owners.
- Other administrative duties as required to support a growing business
Qualification and Skills
- Minimum 1-3 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Previous work experience in an accounts payable/accounts receivable department, or a college/university degree in accounting.
- Gmail, Concur and proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Effective communication skills both oral and written
- Confident and willing to reach out and prompt other team members when required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy – keen ability to discover mistakes or errors
- Strong organizational skills, taking pride in keeping things orderly
- A demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving
- Ability to work and execute autonomously
Nice to Haves
- Knowledge of cloud accounting systems
- A like for numbers, details, and spreadsheets
- Happy to perform repetitive tasks as required
- Previous work in a small to medium sized studio
- Previous experience working closely with cross-functional teams
- Clear understanding of debits and credits
- Pursuing an accounting designation
