Firewalk Studios is looking for a Character OS Technical Artist who is interested in applying their skills to help bring exceptional entertainment to millions of players. As our Character OS Technical Artist, you will be responsible for collaborating with the internal and external contributors to support the content needs of the Character Art teams with a major focus on organized and clean integration assistance.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have a deep working knowledge of Unreal asset management and validation.
- You are familiar with the technical requirements of Character Art assets in a AAA, first person game.
- You are a flexible communicator who can take advantage of remote working tools and software (Email, Slack, Zoom, MSFT Teams, etc.).
- You can deliver feedback in a concise and constructive manner.
- You enjoy seeing multi-faceted and distributed workflows come together to make a sum greater than the parts.
WHAT YOUR DAY MIGHT LOOK LIKE
- Coordinate with OS Art Lead and Production to provide and receive updates on incoming and outgoing content packages.
- Provide detailed and organized management of general upkeep and clean integration of packages.
- Interface with tracking software such as Jira and Shotgrid to maintain updated statuses of assignments.
- Collaborate with the internal Art Leads to discuss any upcoming content creation or tool support needs.
- Receive updates from the external Art Leads and answer any pending questions or concerns regarding ongoing work.
- Participate in playtests.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience and technical knowledge of Unreal content creation and asset validation processes.
- Proven methods for providing timely and effective content feedback and tracking.
- You have a strong technical understanding of content creation tools and workflows, with production experience supporting at least one of the major DCCs.
- You have collaborated with a team to meet shared goals, or ship a project as an OS Coordinator or Technical Artist.
- Experience with the production cycle of competitive multiplayer games is a big plus.
