About the Role
Twitch is building the future of interactive entertainment. Every part of the work we do is with the goal of making Twitch even more efficient and responsive. We are growing our sizable infrastructure and are looking for someone who can help grow the Twitch network. The applicant will join the Network Provisioning team who manage the installations, migrations and decommissions of the network interconnections across the Twitch global infrastructure.
You Will:
- Provision Edge, Backbone and IX network interconnections across the Twitch global network.
- Manage and configure the entire process (Layer 1 – 3) of circuit provisioning.
- Work with protocols such as LACP, BGP , OSPF , IS-IS and MPLS
- Field inquiries for peering activations on public Internet Exchange fabrics
- Create peering requests to establish, or enhance, peering relationships
- Conduct network audits to ensure network-wide consistency
- Create and improve existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Diagnose faults & work with data-centre technicians to fix
- Be able to work out of hours on the odd occasion to support migrations and network augments .
- Manage the cross connect database and track all migrations/ augments/ decommissions
- Track capacity additions over time
- Mentor staff members
- Manage vendor capacity delivery
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree or related work experience
- 3+ years in a previous Network Provisioner role
- Experience working within a Data Centre or telecom carrier environment
- Experience troubleshooting network connectivity from Layer 1 to Layer 3
- Comfortable working at the Command Line Interface for configuration and diagnostics (Brocade, Cisco, and/or Arista)
- Experience with different physical media types and optical transceivers
- Understanding of Internet networks, architectures, and service providers
- DWDM knowledge and experience
- Experience working with a ticketing system to manage workload and projects such as ServiceNow
- Excellent time management skills as well as the ability to prioritise and multitask .
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbally .

- Associate / professional certifications such as CCNA / CCNP or equivalent
- Automation or coding skills (python or go)
- DWDM troubleshooting skills
