Are you a high-engagement editorial or creative leader with a passion for fantasy and pop culture, comfortable with overseeing and driving many different projects and people at once?
Magic: The Gathering is looking for a Narrative Design Manager! This role combines a love for awesome fantasy storytelling with a passion for guiding and supporting creatives.
This role cultivates and manages a team of game/narrative designers who build the IP and creative content for Magic: The Gathering, as well as our external story pipeline.
What you'll do
Using your excellent organizational and leadership skills, this role ensures that Magic has an awesome, high-quality flow of narrative design and storytelling. Working closely with your partners, our principal creatives, you'd be:
- assigning projects and managing workloads;
- commissioning stories to external writers and managing their editing/review cycles;
- ensuring your teams' production schedules are on track;
- and, most importantly, developing our awesome staff of narrative designers — building the programs and processes vital to help them increase their skills and learn to pursue growing levels of responsibility!

- a keen discernment for excellent storytelling and worldbuilding,
- excitement for encouraging, strengthening, and developing the next generation of Magic worldbuilders;
- the ability to clearly communicate goals and expectations; and
