NFT & Blockchain Business Development & Partnerships - Senior Manager (W/M/NB)

Job Description
As part of the Global Publishing structure, you will join the “Brand & Transmedia Partnerships” department as a Business Development & Partnership Senior Manager in charge of NFT & Blockchain.
You will join an international team of experts who work with external partners and brands to develop strong partnerships that include in-game advertising and experiences, brand partnerships, Esports Sponsorships, Advertising Tech and finally NFT and Blockchain based partnerships.
Motivated and ambitious, you will contribute to the development of the NFT & Blockchain based partnerships eco-system managing existing projects (such as the Sandbox x Ubisoft partnership, …) and looking for innovative new collaborations.
In collaboration with the Ubisoft Strategic and Innovation Lab, you will be responsible for defining the strategy, identifying opportunities and trends, finding, negotiating, and closing the most valuable licensing deals and partnerships related to blockchain and NFT projects.
Your role will be worldwide, you will be part of an international department and attend several NFT related events as well as travel to meet your prospects / partners across the globe.
You will report to the Brand Partnerships and Business Development Director and will be accountable for tracking the P&L and achieving the revenue target for your activity on worldwide level.
As such, your main assignments are:
Prospect, negotiate and sign global and innovative licensing deals to extend Ubisoft brands with third party companies within the blockchain, NFT and web 3 ecosystems:
- Define a prospection strategy to identify all partners to target and explore all the possibilities to collaborate with them using Ubisoft brands portfolio.
- Identify new trends and opportunities to extend Ubisoft brands beyond the traditional gaming ecosystem, working with NFT projects, Metaverse Companies (The Sandbox…), Digital Collectibles, Play-to-earn game publishers etc.…
- Create tailor-made proposals for your prospects in close relationship with all internal stakeholders (Game development Studio, Marketing teams,…)
- Pitch bespoke proposals to prospects, digitally or in person (sometimes abroad).
- Negotiate the best financial and legal terms of contracts with prospects.
2. Manage the execution of the deals and evangelize internally:
- Lead the execution of signed contracts with all internal stakeholders (game studio, marketing and brands teams, legal, finance,) and your external contacts.
- Monitor the fulfillment of financial and marketing commitments from partners.
- Create synergies and amplify other teams deals (Brand and Tech partnerships, Esports Sponsorship, Consumer Products…) by proposing additional activations to their partners (FMCG, Apparel and Fashion, Luxury, Food and beverage, Consumer Electronics, Automotive …) linked to NFT and Blockchain.
- Educate and evangelize internally (top management, business, marketing, game studio,…) to amplify the business and create new opportunities and synergies with others Ubisoft business.
Qualifications
- You have a confirmed experience in business development, brand partnership management and/or licensing business in a company or agency.
- You demonstrated success in closing and executing deals involving many stakeholders in an international working environment.
- You are passionate by technologies, innovation and gaming.
- You have a solid understanding of digital collectibles, NFTs and cryptocurrencies and an excellent knowledge of this industry or a will to acquire it fast.
- You have a very strong business/sales mindset, the spirit of a self-entrepreneur and developing a business motivates you.
- You also have a strong marketing and creative spirit, able to create concepts of innovative activations that will fit for both your partner and Ubisoft.
- You have a very good oral and written communication level and can work on several projects at once.
- You excel at building great relationship and collaboration with people of various expertise, projects, culture, nationality, background and seniority level..
- You are very strongly organized with a strong attention to detail and time management skill
- You are fluent in English and have already worked on international projects with English speakers.
