Our Studio
Ubisoft Toronto was founded in 2010 and has contributed to many award-winning Ubisoft brands including Assassin’s Creed®, Far Cry®, For Honor™ and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell®. In 2018, the team at Ubisoft Toronto developed its first new IP, Starlink: Battle for Atlas, a new technology that seamlessly blends physical and digital gameplay. In 2020, Ubisoft Toronto led the development of the newest game in the Watch Dogs franchise – Watch Dogs: Legion. This is the studio's most ambitious and initiative project to date. Ubisoft Toronto received praise for its tech and design work, for creating the first game in which you can play as anyone in an open world, and for its rich and detailed rendition of future London. Now in 2021, Ubisoft Toronto is on the verge of shipping Far Cry 6, the most ambitious Far Cry game to date, featuring the talented Giancarlo Esposito. We’re also kicking off new projects and we can’t wait to share more details once we’re ready.

On being a Motion Graphics Intern (Creative Services) at Ubisoft Toronto
Working directly with the Creative Services team, the successful candidate is a strong visual communicator with a keen interest in developing their talent. You want to be part of a creative, dynamic, and innovative environment at Ubisoft Toronto, and come equipped with a fresh perspective and appreciation for motion graphics. You have demonstrated your ability to bring life to static assets, adding depth, dimension, and flavour to elevate the production value of video assets.
You will further develop your motion graphics talents, learning from the Video Lead and Designers on the Creative Services team, while picking up new skills related to content production and publishing. Your work will come together as title cards and/or videos for a variety of platforms, including the studio’s website, social media and Livestream channels, the Ubisoft intranet, and more.
Type of Position: Full-time, paid internship
Length of internship: 4-8+ months, 8+ months preferred

Location: Hybrid (remote AND in-studio work)

The daily life of a Motion Graphics Intern (Creative Services) at Ubisoft Toronto
- Work with the Creative Services team to add motion graphics to video projects for social media and the web;
- Demonstrate a creative approach to storytelling through motion design.
- Be a partner to our communications, studio, production, and project teams to successfully develop and execute quality content through motion design.
- Contribute creative solutions to partners’ projects and/or implement suggestions from others;
- Ensure Ubisoft and/or brand-specific style guide requirements are met for all videos;
- Act on feedback from various and multiple stakeholders as needed;
- Organize and archive footage across multiple sources for future projects;
- Learn on the job while staying on top of the latest trends and techniques for video production;
- Perform other related tasks as required.
What it takes to make it
- Demonstrated motion graphics skills via portfolio;
- Intermediate knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator;
- Working knowledge of ideal import/export settings and file types;
- Organized file structure, with the ability to cleanly share project files with collaborators;
- Open to direction, accepts feedback, and acts on it;
- Able to work independently in both office and work from home environments;
- Demonstrate creativity, originality, and resourcefulness when searching for solutions;
- Brings a positive attitude and desire to work collaboratively with colleagues;
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
