ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a talented Motion Graphics Artist, focused on working with UX,to create and iterate on motion and effects within our games. You will work with game designers, UX designers, and artists to develop and validate gameplay. You will be working towards the goal of creating a deeply satisfying player experience through visual effects and motion. You will also be involved in transitioning those visuals to marketing assets that can represent our brands effectively and drive new user acquisition for new and existing titles.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create visual effects that support gameplay, from concept to in-game realization.
- Create motion pre-viz to rapidly validate game design and UX flows.
- Generate VFX pre-viz via particle or simulation software to inform implementation for game VFX.
- Define a high visual bar for animated UI and supporting effects that can inform the implementation of game features.
- Use external Particle software to create 2D and 3D particle simulations.
- Work with Designers, and artists to understand the requirements of the game, develop and iterate real-time visual effects that provide optimal player feedback.
- Work with Designers, artists and animators to develop a visual effects style that aligns with the overall look and feel of the game.
- Create compelling video advertisements from a combination of game engine footage, motion graphics, and CG elements.
- Work with user acquisition team and game leads to iterate on video based on performance metrics.
- Work alongside team leads and producers to ensure work is executed in a timely manner and the team is hitting defined milestones.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Exceptional problem-solving ability.
- A critical visual eye that is able to identify and produce high-quality visual experiences utilizing motion, color, timing, and lighting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A versatile skill-set incorporating, art, animation, design.
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, Maya or other 3D software, and particle effects software and plugins.
- Experience generating video advertisements for a variety of games and/or entertainment brands and IP.
- Understanding of camera scripting to create interesting and dynamic visuals.
- Experience establishing and maintaining a visual effects style.
- Motion/VFX artist with 3+ years experience of professional experience.
- A firm grasp on what makes an amazing player experience with examples of work that reflect this
- Experience with our games and an understanding of what makes them great.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience creating in-game visual effects.
- The ability to create shaders in-game engine or in Maya.
- Strong foundation in traditional art (figure drawing, painting, etc.).
- Experience leading a team.
