POSITION SUMMARY
The Motion Graphic Designer will be responsible for producing creative in both 2D and 3D applications. This role is to support the video and design team by creating custom motion graphics as needed. You are a detail-oriented individual who is experienced in managing a large volume of assets in a high-speed, high-performance environment. They will have a varied background and skills that should encompass some of the following areas: editing/postproduction, live productions/streaming, game capture, and when needed as a ninja.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver designs across multiple platforms through 2D and 3D animation.
- Collaborate with designers and editors in the creative team to maintain consistency.
- Effectively communicate concepts and ideas that match the design/video team.
- Work with stakeholders to achieve outcomes that support particular projects.
- Develop and deliver motion designs that amplify the products.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of design thinking and leverage knowledge of design and cultural trends
- Manage multiple projects with critical deadlines.
- Assess and improve processes and/or methodologies.
- Managing a post-production style guide for lockups, graphics and lower thirds
- Assist will shot correction and creating custom visual effects.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- An eye for detail, style, and storytelling.
- Must possess the ability to do quality control checks on own work and others for ratings board guidelines and 1 st party guidelines.
- Must possess strong digital editing skills (knowledge of digital video editing, compositing) and motion graphic design software, hardware and techniques.
- Expert in 2D and 3D motion graphics software Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Ability to work well in a dynamic team environment and be open to direction.
- Excellent communication, organizational, time, and priority management skills.
- Online portfolio of work – is a must.
- Strategic thinker.
Assets:
- Additional background in multimedia video, film, or TV VFX is an advantage.
- Prior experience in game development is an advantage.
- Keeping up to date on cutting edge hardware and software development.
- Avid gamer, with proficiency with variety of games.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 2-3+ years of experience in Film/Video/TV
- 2-3+ years in video game industry or agency
