Monetization Manager

Vela Games is Looking for a Talented Monetization Manager to help build our New Multiplayer Game.

We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of the core foundation of Vela Games; someone who is passionate about being part of an early tight-knit team laser-focused on creating a game from the ground up. This role involves analysing player behaviour, identifying monetization opportunities, and implementing in-game purchases, subscriptions, and other revenue-generating initiatives. The Monetization Manager will work closely with the game development and marketing teams to ensure that monetization efforts are aligned with the overall goals of the company and that they provide a positive player experience.

What You Will Do:

• Research and analyse player behaviour and spending patterns to identify monetization opportunities in our free to play game.
• Develop and implement in-game purchase options such as virtual currencies, items, bundles, and subscriptions.
• Collaborate with game development and marketing teams to ensure that monetization efforts are aligned with the overall goals of the company and that they provide a positive player experience.
• Monitor and and optimise in-game purchase options to ensure performance reaches its potential.
• Create and maintain reports on monetization performance and share insights with the broader team.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and identify new monetization opportunities.
• Test new monetization features and provide feedback to the development team.
• Work with customer support to address player concerns and complaints related to monetization.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in the gaming industry.
• Strong knowledge of monetization strategies and practices in the gaming industry.
• Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of technical constraints and how they impact monetization options.

Bonus Points:

• Experience in free to play games on multiple platforms in different regions.
• Advanced business, financial, or marketing degree a plus.
• Experience in Business Development at a startup / scaleup.
