Job Description
As Monetization Designer, you will help shape the systems and the in-game items that drive the game’s monetization. You will work closely with other members of the team (game design, concept art, analytics, marketing, community management) to find the features and items that will attract players, while ensuring a fun and fair game experience.
Your main mission:
The main impact areas of the Monetization Designer are related to:
- Working in close collaboration with game designers to propose and design new features that add monetization opportunities, while offering a fair and enjoyable game experience;
- Partnering with the art team to propose in-game items that support the game vision and attract a variety of different players;
- Conducting and communicating competition and market trends to stay on the edge of the industry’s monetization practices;
- Preparing competitive analysis on emerging monetization trends and identifying ways of integrating it into game monetization strategy.
- Collaborating with the analytics team to create reports and make proposals in regards to the monetization results;
- Managing the online store in the game, setting up bundles, prices and sales drives;
Qualifications
What you'll bring as experience:
- Knowledge and understanding of game design fundamentals;
- Knowledge of a wide range of games across multiple platforms and an understanding of the core monetization strategies behind them;
- Experience in multiplayer games;
- Excellent organization skills and ability to organize information in a way that’s easy for others to understand;
